Miyetti Allah Leader Bodejo Arrested in Taraba State

Bodejo, the president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, was arrested on Thursday night in Jalingo, Taraba State, while seeking the Taraba Central senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He arrived in the state aboard a private jet at approximately 1:20 PM and received support from thousands across five local government areas in the Taraba Central senatorial district.

In a telephone interview, Bodejo's aide, Umar, stated that the arrest occurred shortly after Bodejo addressed supporters at the APC state secretariat in Jalingo. Following the address, security agents asked Bodejo to leave immediately, leading to his detention.

Bodejo confirmed to journalists at the APC secretariat that he had purchased the senatorial nomination form and would not step down from the race despite pressures to withdraw. The arrest is not the first for Bodejo, as he has previously faced similar situations.

Additionally, a DSS operation in Nasarawa State led to the arrest of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore head at their office in Tundun Maliya.
