Miyetti Allah Appeals to Tinubu for Leader's Release

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Sociocultural Association has made an appeal to President Bola Tinubu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and other relevant security agencies regarding the continued detention of their national leader, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo. This appeal was presented by the North Central chairman, Idris Bebeji, during a press conference in Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

Bodejo, a prominent advocate for the Fulani pastoralist community, was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Jalingo, Taraba State, on the day he officially declared his intention to contest for the Senate seat representing Taraba Central. After spending nearly four months in detention, he was released from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody but was rearrested by the DSS on August 28, 2026.

The association has requested that the legal basis for his continued detention be reviewed and emphasized the importance of due process. Bebeji noted Bodejo's support for the All Progressives Congress and the Tinubu-Shettima ticket during the 2023 elections.
