Bauchi Governor Ready for Vice-Presidential Role in 2027, PDP Unity Strategy

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has expressed readiness to serve as the vice-presidential candidate alongside Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for the 2027 elections. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has adopted a strategy to prioritize unity and fairness following the 2023 electoral loss.

Mohammed emphasized that personal ambitions will not hinder the party's goals, indicating a willingness to support the chosen presidential candidate from the South. The party is considering various candidates, including former President Goodluck Jonathan and Peter Obi, to widen its options for the upcoming elections.

Mohammed also mentioned the possibility of facing President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
