Mohbad: Reopen case, re-arrest me, Samlarry, others – Naira Marley tells Police

Naira Marley has called on the Lagos State Police Command to reopen the case and re-arrest him, Samlarry, and others in connection to the death of his former signee, Mohbad. In a video posted on YouTube, Naira Marley maintained his innocence and demanded a trustworthy officer be put in charge of the case.

He expressed frustration with the handling of the investigation, mentioning leaked group chats and his own detainment. Naira Marley also revealed his agreement to give royalties to Mohbad's family.

Mohbad died in controversial circumstances in September 2023, with Naira Marley and Samlarry initially being accused of involvement. An auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, was also arrested in connection to the case, but the cause of Mohbad's death remains undetermined due to the decomposed state of his body.

The Lagos State Coroner Court has ordered the Director of Public Prosecutions to prosecute Ogedengbe.
