Moses Itauma Wins Breakthrough Athlete of the Year at British Sports Awards

Moses Itauma, a British-Nigerian boxer, was awarded Breakthrough Athlete of the Year at the 2025 British Sports Awards for his outstanding performance in the boxing world. Itauma, with a flawless professional record of 13 wins and 11 knockouts, gained recognition for his victory over Dillian Whyte in Saudi Arabia.

He is set to face Jermain Franklin in Manchester on January 24. Other notable winners include Michel Agyemang, Rory McIlroy, Chloe Kelly, and Hannah Hampton.

Itauma also recently visited Nigeria to celebrate the country's 65th Independence Day.
