Mr Macaroni Reveals Reluctance to Join Nigerian Politics

Mr Macaroni, a Nigerian skit maker and social commentator, has revealed his hesitance to pursue a political career in a recent viral video. He reflected on the challenges of advocacy, stating that it can be frustrating when the very citizens one aims to defend may later criticize or turn against that individual.

His primary concern revolves around the impact entering politics could have on a person's reputation. Mr Macaroni noted that he has observed individuals he once admired enter the political arena and subsequently tarnish their legacies.

This observation has left him “not thrilled” about the prospect of entering politics. Additionally, he criticized Nigerians for their tendency to quickly move past economic grievances, using the example of fuel prices, where public protests are often short-lived.

He challenged the notion that enduring harsh conditions should be celebrated as a badge of honor, emphasizing the need for a more sustained response to such issues.
