Mr Macaroni Reduces Government Criticism Amid Threats

Adebowale Adedayo, known as Mr Macaroni, a Nigerian actor and social commentator, shared his reasons for decreasing public criticism of the government during an interview on Wazobia FM. He cited constant backlash and threats linked to his activism as significant factors influencing his decision.

Mr Macaroni expressed frustration over repeatedly addressing the same issues without seeing the desired changes in governance. He stated, “Until we as a people are ready to fight for what is ours, saying the same thing over and over again is just TIRING.” He recounted the personal risks he faced, including threats to his life and concerns from his family, especially during the End SARS protests.

Despite his continued calls for wise voting, he faced insults and backlash from the public. Mr Macaroni concluded that he would remain silent until Nigerians are ready to advocate for better governance.
