MTN Nigeria Empowers 18 Women with AI Skills Training

MTN Nigeria has launched an initiative to empower 18 Nigerian women with digital skills in artificial intelligence, aimed at enabling them to earn income in foreign currency. This program, announced by Ifeoluwa Adegoke, CEO of MTWI Financial Services Nigeria, emphasizes the importance of financial independence for women amid rising economic pressures.

The initiative is part of MTN Nigeria's commitment to go beyond discussions and take practical steps to equip women with the necessary skills to thrive in a digital economy. In partnership with ALX, a technology skills platform, the program focuses on digital empowerment, allowing women to manage projects remotely and support global clients using AI tools.

This approach not only enhances skill acquisition but also aims to change the perception of women's work value in the economy, allowing them to participate in a borderless marketplace. The initiative aligns with the celebration of International Women's Day in 2026, highlighting MTN's dedication to fostering economic growth through gender inclusivity.
