Defence Minister Musa Vows to Rescue Kidnap Victims

On Saturday, Minister of Defence Christoph Musa (retd) assured citizens that the federal government and security agencies will do everything possible to secure the release of kidnap victims in Nigeria. Speaking at the Southern Kaduna Grand Command Award during the 2026 Southern Kaduna Festival, Musa pledged continued efforts for the freedom of those abducted.

He urged community unity and cooperation to tackle insecurity, emphasizing that no evil can overcome them with God on their side. Musa called on residents to support security agencies by providing credible information and reporting suspicious activities.

His remarks come amid growing concerns over recent kidnapping incidents, including the abduction of a vice principal, pupils, and a teacher in Oyo State. Musa reiterated the commitment of the armed forces and security agencies to protect lives and properties across the country, highlighting the importance of addressing security challenges for national economic growth.
