Kwara APC Stakeholders Back AbdulRazaq Amid Mustapha's Exit

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara Central Senatorial District have rallied behind Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the APC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, in light of Senator Saliu Mustapha's defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

They asserted that Mustapha's exit would not diminish the party's strength or support base. Hon. Ibrahim Sulyman Salah, a councillor from Gambari Ward 1, emphasized their loyalty to AbdulRazaq, citing the visible impacts of his administration, including the completion of 113.57 kilometres of roads and ongoing projects of 65.5 kilometres.

Salah urged the governor to continue development efforts and expand empowerment programs. Baba Gobir Abdullahi, chairman of Gambari Ward II and the APC ward chairmen in Kwara State, echoed this sentiment, stating that Mustapha's electoral success was due to collective support rather than personal effort.

He characterized the senator's defection as a personal decision that does not reflect the will of the voters in Kwara Central.
