Group Urges AbdulRazaq to Reconcile Kwara APC Stakeholders

Orisun Igbomina, a socio-political group based in Kwara, has called on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to enhance political inclusion and reconcile aggrieved stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. In a statement signed by National President Chief Gbenga Awoyale, the group referenced the recent governorship election in Osun State as a significant lesson for Kwara's political leaders, emphasizing the electorate's power and the necessity for political parties to maintain strong grassroots ties.

The group highlighted the Osun election as a victory for democracy, asserting that political power ultimately resides with the people. They urged AbdulRazaq to engage with discontented APC members and address internal party concerns, stressing the importance of inclusion, fairness, and internal democracy.

The emergence of the G15 within the Kwara APC was noted as a serious concern that requires dialogue rather than dismissal, as many involved participated in the 'O To Ge' movement advocating for these democratic values.
