My Administration Won’t Abandon Any Project – Diri

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has affirmed that his administration will not abandon any ongoing project, including those inherited from the previous administration. During the 169th session of the State Executive Council meeting, Diri listed major projects such as road construction, civil service secretariat, stadium, and a 60MW gas turbine plant that are in progress.

The governor emphasized that funding will not be a hindrance to completing these projects before his term ends in February 2028. Diri highlighted the importance of completing road projects to improve travel time and security in the state.

He also mentioned the procurement of a new gas turbine to ensure electricity supply to Bayelsans by the end of the year, which he believes is crucial for industrialization. The governor expressed confidence in the progress of the projects and the commitment of the contractors involved.
