"My core values": Ogun governorship candidate speaks on dumping NNPP

Olufemi Ajadi, the governorship candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun state, has revealed that he will be leaving the party ahead of the 2027 general election. Ajadi, in an exclusive interview, stated that his decision to leave was based on his core values and principles, which he felt were compromised within the NNPP.

He emphasized his commitment to youth job creation and good governance, which aligned with the NNPP's principles of transparency and inclusivity. Ajadi also expressed his desire to continue impacting lives through service, regardless of his party affiliation.

This announcement comes after Ajadi led a campaign for the NNPP in the 2023 governorship election, where he reportedly turned down a million-dollar offer to drop out. Additionally, Rasaq Segun Shofowora, another NNPP candidate, is vying for the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the upcoming election on August 16.
