Kano Governor Yusuf Declares Loyalty to Kano People, Joins APC

Governor Yusuf of Kano State officially declared his loyalty to the people of Kano as he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the People's Democratic Party. He announced the establishment of the Kano State Elder Council as a non-partisan advisory body.

Yusuf's move was supported by top APC leaders including former Governor Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and APC National Leader Bola Tinubu.

The governor emphasized his commitment to working closely with the federal government to align Kano's development priorities with the President's agenda. This strategic realignment is aimed at driving progress and fostering cooperation between the state and federal levels.
