Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Rejoins APC for Political Stability and Development Acceleration

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has announced his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasizing the importance of political stability, development acceleration, and improved welfare for residents. The decision to defect from the opposition party was made after extensive consultations and a careful assessment of the political landscape in Kano State.

Governor Yusuf highlighted that his move was not driven by personal ambition but by the overriding interest of the state and its people. Former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje welcomed Yusuf back to the APC and announced support for his re-election bid in 2027. The party members in Kano State have shown interest in contesting the upcoming governorship election and have pledged to support Yusuf's second term ambition.
