Ugbebor Appeals Lagos Court Ruling on N152m Property Dispute

Engin Anthoni Ehiedu Ugbebor, a US-based Nigerian, has requested the court to set aside a judgment from the Lagos High Court regarding a N152 million property dispute. The judgment, delivered on June 15, 2026, by Justice Akingbola Georg, dismissed Ugbebor's claims against Oak Home Multin Services Limited, represented by Olukayod Olusanya.

Ugbebor contends that the trial judge misapplied contract law principles and ignored material evidence, wrongfully dismissing his counterclaim and refusing his request for specific performance of the property sale agreement. Ugbebor's appeal, filed by Barrister Nasir Salau, argues that the trial court's reliance on the doctrine of novation was erroneous, as no new contract was established.

Ugbebor maintains that he has paid 80% of the purchase price and that the original agreement remains valid and enforceable. He seeks to compel Oak Home to honor its contractual obligations.
