Dogara Slams Buhari's Naira Devaluation, Calls for Tax Reforms

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, criticized the printing of N22.7 trillion under President Buhari's administration, attributing it to the devaluation of the Nigerian Naira. Dogara highlighted the negative impact of injecting such a massive amount into the economy, leading to the erosion of the currency's value.

Speaking at a parliamentary lecture, he emphasized the need for tax reforms and insights into economic policies to navigate Nigeria's financial challenges. Dogara pointed out the consequences of the dual exchange rate system and criticized what he termed as unsustainable economic measures that have contributed to the nation's economic woes.
