Osun LG Funds of N63 Billion Released, PDP Calls for Probe

The Osun State Local Government funds of N63 billion have been released, with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) calling for a probe into the disbursement. The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) disclosed the total sum disbursed between March and June 2025, along with the funds released for July and August.

The detailed breakdown shows that some councils received at least N16 billion for July and August. Notably, Atakumosa East LG received N7 billion, Ilesha West got N15.4 billion, and Isokan received N15.2 billion.

The National Union of Local Government Employees in the state has also been involved in the matter.
