NULGE Raises Alarm Over FG Payment to Sacked APC Officials' Accounts

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Osun State accuses the Federal Government of paying local government allocations into accounts operated by sacked APC chairmen and councilors. NULGE President Nathaniel Ogungbangbe raised concerns about the unlawful release of funds into accounts opened by the dismissed APC officials, describing it as an abuse of power.

The allocations for Osun State's local government councils from March to September 2025 were reportedly channeled into illegal bank accounts opened by the APC members at United Bank Africa (UBA). This action has sparked controversy and criticism for bypassing due process and undermining the autonomy of the local government system.
