Kano Govt Urged to Address N6.5bn Corruption Scandal; Rogo Allegedly Siphoned Funds

Lawyer and Civil Society Organizations have called on the Kano State government to address the N6.5 billion corruption scandal allegedly involving Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo. The scandal, uncovered by the EFCC and ICPC, implicates Rogo in siphoning funds through fictitious contracts with Maikifi Petroleum and Ammas Oil Gas Limited.

Documents revealed that Rogo diverted funds from November 2023 to February 2025, with the ICPC recovering a significant sum from the companies involved. The call for action demands concrete evidence to either exonerate or prosecute officials found guilty, highlighting the commitment of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's administration to combat corruption in Kano State.
