Witness Claims Blessing CEO Sold Non-Owned Property for N69.15M

Dr Onuoha Okeigwe, a prosecution witness in the trial of social media influencer Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, known as Blessing CEO, testified that he paid N69.15 million for a property she falsely claimed to own. During cross-examination at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, Okeigwe stated that Blessing CEO represented herself as the owner through WhatsApp conversations and in-person meetings.
He relied on documents from the Corporate Affairs Commission and other materials to support his claims. Okeigwe has also initiated a civil suit against Blessing CEO to recover the money paid and over N100 million spent on renovations for a medical facility he intended to establish.
The criminal case focuses on the N69.15 million transaction, while the civil suit addresses renovation expenses and damages. Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The case has been adjourned until January 12, 2027, for further witness testimonies.
