Erigga Claps Back at Davido Over Family Wealth Comments
On September 1, 2026, rapper Erigga, known as Papper Boi, posted a message on social media appreciating musicians who have worked hard without the advantage of family wealth. Although he did not mention names, Davido, who is known to come from a wealthy family, took offense.
On September 2, Davido responded directly to Erigga, arguing that recognition should also be given to those from wealthy backgrounds who have worked hard, dismissing Erigga's comments as "useless" and calling him an imbecile. Erigga retaliated on September 3 with a series of five tweets, questioning Davido's strong reaction and mocking his status.
He accused Davido of attempting to intimidate him and highlighted the language used in Davido's tweets. The exchange has attracted considerable attention online, with fans reacting to the feud between the two artists.
