NABTEB Reports 81.24% Pass Rate in 2026 Exams

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) released results for the June/July 2026 National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations, revealing an 81.24% pass rate. Out of 97,867 candidates, 79,504 achieved five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

Dr Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, announced these results during a press briefing at the Board’s headquarters in Benin City, Edo State. This performance shows a significant increase from the previous examination cycle, where 68.18% of candidates passed.

Additionally, 89,580 candidates, or 91.53%, obtained five credits irrespective of English and Mathematics, compared to 83.28% in 2025. Furthermore, 24,128 candidates were certified as craftsmen, aligning with NABTEB’s goal of enhancing practical skills and technical competence.

The number of registered candidates rose to 100,069 from 92,876 in 2025, indicating growing interest in business and technical education, with examination centers increasing from 1,892 to 2,144.
