NADF and NBS Sign MoU to Enhance Agricultural Data

On Thursday, the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the NADF headquarters in Abuja. This agreement aims to strengthen the generation, validation, sharing, and analysis of agricultural data to support evidence-based financing, policymaking, and investment in Nigeria's agricultural sector.

Mohammed A. Ibrahim, Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of NADF, emphasized the importance of reliable data for effective agricultural development and stated that the collaboration would enhance investment decisions and interventions across the agricultural value chain.

The partnership is timely as NADF expands its support for agricultural financing and development. Prince Adeyemi Adeniran, Statistician-General of the Federation and CEO of NBS, noted that the agreement reflects both institutions' commitment to improving Nigeria's agricultural sector through better statistics.

The MoU will establish a framework for agricultural data exchange and ensure high standards of data governance and confidentiality.
