NADF and NBS Sign MoU to Enhance Agricultural Financing

The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the NADF headquarters in Abuja to enhance agricultural financing and policymaking through credible, harmonised, and evidence-driven data. Executive Secretary/Chief Executive of NADF, Mohammed Ibrahim, emphasized that quality data is essential for sustainable agricultural development and will guide investments across the agricultural value chain.

He noted that the collaboration is timely as the Fund increases support for agricultural financing, research, and development. Prince Adeyemi Adeniran, Statistician-General of the Federation and Chief Executive of NBS, described the agreement as a significant step towards strengthening Nigeria’s agricultural ecosystem.

The partnership aims to establish a common framework for agricultural data exchange and validation, providing reliable information for policymakers and investors. Both institutions committed to maintaining high standards of data governance to ensure effective investment decisions and contribute to national food security.
