NAF Intensifies Air Strikes Against Terrorists in North-West

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its air offensive against terrorists and bandits operating in North-West Nigeria. This operation includes precise strikes on identified criminal hideouts and is supported by ongoing intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

The air operations, conducted from June 18 to June 19, 2026, are part of a broader effort to disrupt terrorist activities and degrade the operational capabilities of armed groups threatening peace and stability in the region. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, confirmed that NAF aircraft successfully engaged and neutralized terrorist positions identified through intelligence-led operations around Kidandan.

Subsequent reconnaissance missions in Fatika and Sabuwa confirmed the absence of further terrorist activity. The NAF continues to maintain aerial surveillance to support friendly ground forces in ongoing operations, reaffirming its commitment to dismantling terrorist and bandit networks in the region.
