NAF Intensifies Air Strikes Against Terrorists in North-west

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its air offensive against terrorists and bandits operating in North-west Nigeria, conducting precise strikes on identified criminal hideouts. This operation, which took place from June 18 to June 19, 2026, demonstrates NAF's determination to deny criminal elements freedom of movement and strengthen security across the operational theater.

Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, urged newly trained soldiers from a recent intake of 90 regular recruits to confront these terrorist and criminal elements with courage and uphold the highest professional standards while respecting human rights. According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam, the air missions are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist activities and degrade the operational capabilities of armed groups threatening peace and stability in the region.

NAF aircraft successfully engaged and neutralized terrorist positions identified through intelligence-led operations around Kidandan, with subsequent reconnaissance missions confirming the absence of further terrorist activity in the area.
