NAF Investigates Accidental Market Bombing in Borno-Yobe

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is conducting an investigation into an accidental bombing that occurred on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at a market near the Borno-Yobe border. The incident reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 56 individuals, primarily traders, with 14 others hospitalized.

Air Marshal Sundai Anek Sundai, the Chief of Air Staff, has ordered an immediate probe into the circumstances surrounding the airstrike. NAF spokesman Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam stated that the service treats reports of civilian harm with utmost seriousness and empathy.
