NAFDAC Urges Rivers Hospitals to Enforce Drug Safety Policy

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Director General, Mojisola Adeyeye, called on the Rivers State government to ensure full implementation of the national pharmacovigilance policy in health facilities. This policy aims to monitor medicine safety and address adverse reactions promptly.

Adeyeye highlighted the rise in drug abuse among young people and emphasized the need for proper reporting. NAFDAC officials, including Uchenna Elemuwa and Emmanuel Onogwu, stressed the importance of involving all levels of healthcare facilities in monitoring medicine safety.
