NAFDAC Destroys 80 Containers of Fake Drugs and Food Items in Nigeria

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed over 80 containers of fake and substandard drugs and food items as part of a nationwide enforcement drive. Dr.

Martin Iluyomad, the Director of Investigation and Enforcement and Chairman of the Federal Task Force of NAFDAC, revealed the agency's battle against the influx of counterfeit products in the Nigerian market, particularly in Lagos. The recent destruction aimed to reduce the prevalence of substandard goods and combat moral decadence in Nigeria.

Iluyomad also expressed concern over the vandalism of operational vehicles during a recent attack, emphasizing the need to curb illicit trade activities.
