NAFDAC Destroys ₦5bn Fake Products in Nasarawa to Protect Consumers

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed counterfeit, expired, and substandard products valued at ₦5 billion in Nasarawa State. The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof.

Christianah Adeyeye, led the operation alongside the North Central Zonal Director, Kenneth Azikiwe. The products were seized during routine surveillance and enforcement operations across the region.

NAFDAC aims to prevent these confiscated items from re-entering the market to safeguard public health. The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Security, Usman Baba, commended NAFDAC's efforts in ensuring market sanitation and pledged continued support.
