MAN Warns NAFDAC's Sachet Alcohol Ban Could Wipe Out N1.9 Trillion Investment

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has cautioned against NAFDAC's proposal to ban the sale of alcohol in sachets and small bottles, citing potential economic risks. MAN argues that the ban could result in a loss of N1.9 trillion investment and threaten five million jobs in Nigeria.

MAN's Director-General, Segun Ajayi Kadir, criticized the lack of proper consultation and urged the Senate to reconsider the decision. The association advocates for a multi-sector approach to address alcohol abuse without harming legitimate businesses.
