NAHCON Bars Medically Unfit Pilgrims from 2026 Hajj Due to Health Requirements

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has declared that medically unfit pilgrims will not be allowed to participate in the 2026 Hajj unless they meet the approved health requirements specified by Saudi Arabia. The commission emphasized that pilgrims diagnosed with certain medical conditions will not be permitted to undertake the pilgrimage in line with Saudi Arabia's international health regulations and safety conditions.

Mandatory medical screenings and clearances will be conducted for registered pilgrims before visa issuance to ensure compliance and protect the safety of participants. NAHCON also advised intending pilgrims to liaise with relevant authorities for proper guidance and verification of their medical status.
