NAHCON Meets Saudi Deadlines for 2026 Hajj Accommodation for Nigerian Pilgrims

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that it has met the deadlines set by Saudi Arabia for the accommodation arrangements for Nigerian pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah. The Chairman and CEO of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, disclosed this information in a statement.

The technical assistant to the media, Ahmad Muazu Usman, explained that the accommodations have been uploaded for approval by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj. Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized the critical nature of the arrangements being finalized within the Saudi timeline to safeguard Nigeria's operational interests.

NAHCON has sent a high-level delegation to Saudi Arabia, including board members, staff, and relevant stakeholders, to ensure the security and accommodation arrangements are concluded. The Commission is now proceeding to the next phase of operational preparations for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, reaffirming its commitment to early planning and effective coordination.
