NAHCON Pledges Timely and Orderly 2026 Hajj Preparations in Nigeria

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) under the leadership of Prof. Abdullahi Usman has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring timely and orderly preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

Usman stated that NAHCON will strictly adhere to established procedures and work closely with the Saudi authorities to meet regulatory timelines. The Commission's activities are in alignment with the directives of the Federal Government and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

NAHCON's Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, highlighted the critical nature of completing preparatory activities on time.

To this end, a high-level executive delegation, including key members like Prof. Abubakar Yagaw and Dr.

Tajudeen Oladejo, has been authorized to oversee the finalization of accommodation arrangements in Makkah. Dr.

Tawfiq Al Rabiah, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah from Saudi Arabia, is expected to visit Nigeria to coordinate further preparations. NAHCON aims to enhance professionalism and efficiency in managing the Hajj pilgrimage for Nigerian pilgrims.
