NAHCON Appeals for More Hajj Slots from Saudi Arabia Amid Operational Challenges

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has formally requested more Hajj slots from Saudi Arabia for the 2026 pilgrimage. The request was made during a meeting in Abuja with a high-level delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

NAHCON highlighted operational challenges, visa constraints, and health safety requirements for pilgrims. The delegation agreed to review the request and emphasized adherence to international Hajj timelines.

Additionally, the Hajj Institute of Nigeria seeks recognition from the Saudi Ministry for training in Hajj management.
