Jigawa Governor Signs Open Government Partnership Plan III

On Monday, Malam Umar Namadi, the Governor of Jigawa State, signed the Jigawa State Open Government Partnership (OGP) State Action Plan III (2026–2027) in Dutse. This initiative underscores his administration's commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.

Namadi described the Action Plan as a roadmap for enhancing transparency, improving public service delivery, and increasing citizen participation in governance. He directed all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to prioritize the implementation of the commitments in the Action Plan, emphasizing that its success relies on effective collaboration among all stakeholders.

The governor called on civil society organizations, development partners, and various community leaders to support the initiative. Alhaji Aminu Usman, the Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State OGP Steering Committee, noted that the Action Plan is evidence-based and aims to deliver measurable improvements in governance.

He praised Governor Namadi for his political will in making the initiative possible, highlighting the shared commitment to enhancing governance in Jigawa State.
