Governor Namadi Criticizes Absenteeism in Jigawa Offices

On Monday, Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State conducted an unscheduled visit to the state government secretariat complex in Dutsin-Ma, where he expressed strong displeasure at the absence of several top government officials. During his inspection, which began at 11:00 AM, Namadi found multiple offices locked and staff absent despite the expectation of daily attendance.

He recorded video evidence of the situation and questioned a few workers about their colleagues' absence. Namadi stated that the lack of commitment and discipline among public servants would not be tolerated, emphasizing the importance of punctuality and effective service delivery.

He directed various heads of ministries, departments, and agencies to ensure that staff report to work on time and fulfill their duties. The governor's visit was part of efforts to restore order and improve productivity within the state's bureaucracy, with plans for disciplinary measures to follow the investigation into the absences.
