NANS Praises Umahi for Road Projects, Suggests Bridge

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) commended Engr. David Umahi, the Minister of Works, for the quality and pace of ongoing Federal Government road projects during their nationwide tour. The NANS delegation inspected various road projects across Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna, and Sokoto states.

NANS President Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez presented the findings, emphasizing the importance of roads leading to educational institutions for students' daily activities. Key roads inspected included the Kano-Kwanar Danja-Hadejia Road, Kano Northern Bypass, and Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road.

NANS specifically recommended a pedestrian bridge at the Federal Co-operative College in Kaduna for student safety. The association expressed satisfaction with the scale, strategic distribution, and construction quality of the projects, particularly noting the significance of the Kano Northern Bypass for connecting several tertiary institutions in the Northwest.
