Umahi Receives NANS Report on North-West Road Infrastructure

Engr. David Umahi, the Honourable Minister of Works, received an assessment report from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) regarding federal road infrastructure projects in the North-West Zone. The report was presented by NANS President Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez at the Ministry’s Conference Hall in Mabushi, Abuja.

This assessment was part of a nationwide initiative by students to gather information on the progress and quality of federal infrastructure projects. Minister Umahi praised the initiative as a responsible demonstration of youth participation in national development and welcomed constructive assessments from various stakeholders.

He assured that the Ministry would review the recommendations in the NANS report, particularly concerning access roads and pedestrian safety near educational institutions, including a request for a pedestrian bridge in Kaduna. Umahi reiterated the government's commitment to improving road infrastructure, which is vital for education and commerce, and encouraged stakeholder engagement in community issues.
