Meluso Refutes Osimhen's Racism Allegations Amid Controversy

Mauro Meluso, the former sports director of Napoli, has dismissed allegations of racism made by Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen. These allegations arose after Osimhen's comments regarding a TikTok video that surfaced following Napoli's missed penalty against Bologna last month.

Osimhen suggested that the video contained racist undertones. In response, Meluso stated that there was "nothing wrong" with the video, describing it as a bit ironic and indicating that Osimhen took it "very badly." He emphasized that Napoli abhors any form of racism and that the club's communication director, Nicola Lombardo, had attempted to calm Osimhen during the controversy.

Meluso's comments reflect a strong denial of any racist language or intent associated with the video, asserting that Napoli stands firmly against racism.
