NAPSS Honors UNIJOS VC Professor Tanko Ishaya

The National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS) presented an award to Professor Tanko Ishaya, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), recognizing his outstanding contributions to the university's growth and transformation. The award was given during NAPSS's annual cultural day held at the Faculty of Social Sciences auditorium on the Naraguta campus.

Mr. Emmanuel Madugu, the spokesman for the institution, stated that the honor reflects the positive impact of Professor Ishaya's leadership, particularly in making UNIJOS a preferred destination for international students.

The association also commended the Vice Chancellor for successfully hosting the 27th Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Games, the first of its kind in the North Central region. Professor Ishaya expressed that the recognition is particularly meaningful as it directly benefits students, who are the primary beneficiaries of university policies and programs.

He was accompanied by his wife, Justice Sharon Ishaya, and other university officials during the award presentation.
