ADC Elects Michael Abdul as New Chairman in Nasarawa

The Abundant Democratic Congress (ADC) held a consensus congress on Saturday in Lafia, Nasarawa, where Michael Abdul was elected as the new chairman. Alongside him, other state executive members were elected, including a deputy chairman, secretary, treasurer, public secretary, women's leader, and zonal officers representing the three senatorial districts: Nasarawa North, Nasarawa South, and Nasarawa West.

The congress, attended by delegates from 13 local government areas, ratified the new leadership. In his acceptance speech, Abdul emphasized the need to restore the party's credibility and prioritize grassroots mobilization, aiming to engage citizens ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He expressed optimism about the ADC's potential to gain power at both the state and national levels. Outgoing state chairman Paul Magaji thanked members for their support, while Kani Jibarang described the exercise as peaceful and transparent.

The new leadership is expected to revitalize the ADC in preparation for future elections.
