APC Stays Strong in Nasarawa Despite Resignation

Aliyu Bello, the Nasarawa State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that the party remains strong despite the recent resignation of former Inspector General of Police, Moham Adamu Abubakar. Bello addressed supporters in Lafia, emphasizing the party's self-sufficiency and urging members to stand firm in the face of challenges.

He referred to the actions of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), led by Yahuza Musa, who organized protests against the APC's handling of party affairs, including a demonstration where they burned brooms, a symbol of the APC. Bello likened the current political climate to past experiences with the People's Democratic Party (PDP), suggesting that the APC should not abandon its principles.

He called for youth participation in upcoming elections and instructed supporters to ensure that votes are properly counted, noting that the current electoral process is more transparent than in 2011, when there were no card readers.
