Governor Sule Praises Smooth Nasarawa By-Election Conduct

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule commended the smooth conduct of the Nasarawa North Senatorial by-election, which took place to fill the vacancy left by the late Senator Godiya Akwashiki. Sule made his remarks on Saturday after casting his vote at Poll Unit 002, Gudi Motor Park, alongside his wives, Silifat and Farida Abdullahi Sule.

He noted that the electoral process was seamless, with voter accreditation completed within minutes. The voting experience was described as the fastest ever seen, taking only 3 to 5 minutes.

Sule praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its efficient logistics and early arrival of election materials. He dismissed suggestions that the poll was a political test ahead of future elections, expressing confidence in the APC candidate, Danladi Halilu.

The governor acknowledged a strong voter turnout across various local government areas, including Nasarawa Eggon, Akwanga, and Wamba, and reported minor technical glitches that were quickly resolved.
