Investigation Demanded Over Ohinoyi's Title Interference

A group from Nasarawa State has called for an investigation into the alleged interference of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in the selection process for the Odeyani traditional title. The group, represented by Chief Sadiq Momoh and others, argues that outside influence disrupts local cultural customs and the traditional success process within the Egbira chiefdom.

They emphasize that the Ohinoyi does not have the authority to appoint titles outside Ebiraland, as such prerogatives are reserved for traditional rulers within Nigeria. The group expressed their high regard for the Ohinoyi but stated that they will not tolerate any disrespect towards the Emir of Lafia, who they believe is the rightful authority in this matter.

They also noted that any attempts to undermine the Emir's authority will face strong resistance. The situation is further complicated by claims of a leadership tussle within Nasarawa State, which the group insists is unfounded.
