Nasarawa West to Produce Next Governor, Says Sule

Abdullahi Sule, the Governor of Nasarawa State, stated that the Nasarawa West senatorial zone is set to produce the next governor in the upcoming 2027 governorship elections. This announcement was made during a press conference on Sunday, following a marathon meeting with the deputy governor, governorship aspirants, members of the National Assembly, and chairmen of federal government agencies.

Sule highlighted the importance of conducting direct primary elections to ensure fairness and equity among the three senatorial zones: Nasarawa South, Nasarawa North, and Nasarawa West. He noted that Nasarawa South has produced a governor for 12 years and Nasarawa North currently holds the office, making it the turn of Nasarawa West, which has not produced a governor in 20 years.

Sule expressed confidence that the APC in Nasarawa State would emerge stronger and ready for the 2027 general elections, urging party members to accept the outcomes of the primaries in good faith.
