National Assembly Postpones Plenary Resumption to October 7, 2025

The National Assembly in Nigeria has postponed the resumption of its plenary session from September 23, 2025, to October 7, 2025. The Clerk of the National Assembly, Barr Kamoru Ogunlana, issued a statement on behalf of the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, informing members and the public of the new date.

The postponement was made without specifying a reason, but it was noted that committee activities will continue as planned. The annual legislative recess that started in July traditionally lasts for two months.

The Clerk expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the change and requested all members to adjust their schedules accordingly.
