Nigerian National Grid Collapse Plunges Country into Darkness Again

The Nigerian national power grid collapsed once again, resulting in a significant decrease in power generation to 24MW from 4,500MW. The outage, which occurred at 1:30 pm, affected multiple power generation plants connected to the grid, leading to zero power allocation to 11 electricity distribution companies.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria is yet to provide a detailed statement on the incident. This recurring issue raises concerns about Nigeria's electricity infrastructure and its ability to meet the growing demand for reliable power.
