Naval Chief Calls for Prayers for Nigerian Troops at 70

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy, Vice Admiral Idi Abba, the Chief of Naval Staff, urged Nigerians to pray for the troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces. This appeal was made during a special Juma prayer service held at the Admiralty Central Mosque in Navy Town, Asokoro, Abuja.

Vice Admiral Abba expressed gratitude to Allah for the gathering and emphasized the importance of sustaining prayers for military personnel currently deployed across various operational theaters within and outside the country. He acknowledged the sacrifices and commitment of the Nigerian Navy and the Armed Forces in defending the nation against security threats, including insurgency and banditry.

The Vice Admiral also recognized the vital role of the Nigerian Navy in the nation's maritime security architecture and the significance of the maritime domain for oil and gas resources and international trade. He paid tribute to fallen heroes and expressed appreciation to religious leaders and families for their moral support.
